You are not tied down to an hdmi cable to ONLY one tv. If you already invested in amazon video, apple tv or netflix you really want to focus on this solution. You will more than likely have all the major devices you already need. You probably have ipads or Roku devices lying around that the kids are watching their shows on those networks as well. So, all of this will play right into what you have already invested. You literally hook up this device to your router, then take your apple-tv or roku device and connect to that.
